Veteran Lunch

Blog post by:

At the veteran lunch people played and ate hotdogs, pop, chips, and cookies. After a while we played Knockout, then we went back to the gym and played Knockout again or we could sit up in the bleachers and play games there. When we got back to class we had to read. To go to veteran lunch you have to pass Veteren level.

Rocket Math

This blog is about rocket math. Rocket math is fun because when you get to "w" you blast off to outer space. Rocket math is good for your math facts because you can get better and better at them. What we do in rocket math is, first you have to have this test to see what your goal is. Second you take a real test at set "a" to "w". Third you do division set "a" to "x" and then you finished rocket math.

This is where you collect your Rocket math when your in set multiplication.

This is where you practice on your Rocket Math for the test.

This is the bottom of the test where you take the test and see if you pass or you do not pass.

These are people who have past Rocket Math. When they pass we put there names on the wall of flames for people to see.

This is where you get your Rocket Math division when your done with multiplication. Then you go to set "a" to "x".

Field Trip to the Musum of World Treasures

Blog post by:

When we went on the Field Trip to the Museum of World Treasures. We got to hold dinosaur poop, and a replaca of the t rex claw. He told us a story about a man who triped over the t-rex toe and then discovered the fossils. We all got to go on the trip. If you were gone you didn't get to go. It was real fun, we all had a blast. Also the tour guide asked a german saying and I answered it right. He said, I work in Wichita at the University in german! We also got to watch the tour guide do a replca of the shrunkin head on one of the students. Then we all had lunch at the exploration park and then we got to play when we were done. When we were on our way to the bus to go back to the school some people went on this bridge above a man made river and it had rocks, and sand by the river. It looked cool. When we got back to the school we got to play and read for the rest of the day. Then if your parents were there too, you could go with them or stay with the school group.

The Solar System

Blog post by:

This week we have been working on the solar system and what is in it.First we had to get on the internet to get all the facts possible! Second the group has to do a powerpoint on what we learned about the planet that Mr. Sacco gave us. Third of all we had to present it to the class. What a prosess we had to do just to present a powerpoint.

When presenting the powerpoint we had to say what the slide said and then if we downloaded a picture we had to say why we put the picture on it and what it means.

Tasty Fruits And Vegatables

Mrs.Radke had a tasty table of fruits and vegatables like pineapple, strawberries, mango, kiwi, and brocoli. All 4th-6th graders were there tasting all the fruits and vegatables, even some teachers tried some. Lots of kids liked some of the fruits and vegetables. Then we went back to our classrooms.

The Hms Art Show

Every year hms has an art show from fourth grade to eighth grade. The kids enter at least two art projects. Even though every student's art work is good they only pick the best of the best. Even though students didn't win the judges had a very hard time chosing the best. All of the kids were still glad that at least some of their art was put in the art show.

Chinchilla

Last week we got a new pet and its a Chinchilla. It's a girl, her name is Chi Chi. You should look at the pictures of her on the blog. She is really skinny but her fur makes her look fat. She also takes baths in dust. She is really soft to the touch. She sleeps during the day and parties all night because she is nocturnal.
